Welcome to StormPreps! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StormPreps emergency preparedness platform and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by StormPreps, LLC ("StormPreps," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Description of Service

StormPreps provides a comprehensive emergency preparedness platform that helps families and organizations plan, prepare, and respond to emergencies and disasters. Our Service includes:

  • Family member and emergency contact management
  • Document storage for critical emergency information
  • Weather alert monitoring and notifications

2. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account

3. Subscription and Payment

StormPreps operates on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your chosen subscription plan
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled prior to renewal date
  • Responsibility for all taxes associated with your subscription
  • Charges based on the number of users in your account

We use Stripe to process payments securely. Refunds are handled according to our cancellation policy.

4. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and store:

  • Account information (name, email, billing details)
  • Family member profiles and medical information
  • Emergency contact and location data
  • Uploaded documents and emergency plans
  • Supply inventory and preparedness information

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Share false, misleading, or inaccurate information

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without permission
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

7. Emergency Information Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: StormPreps is an emergency preparedness planning tool. It is not a substitute for professional emergency services, medical advice, or official emergency communications. In case of actual emergency:

  • Contact local emergency services (911 in the US) immediately
  • Follow official guidance from emergency management authorities
  • Do not rely solely on information stored in StormPreps

We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of emergency information provided through the Service.

8. Service Availability

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORMPREPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will cease immediately
  • You may download your data for a limited period
  • We may delete your data according to our data retention policy

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where StormPreps, LLC is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
